PALLITE™ began manufacturing sustainable honeycomb paper cardboard products back in 2009 and we are very proud that since the start of 2022 we are now manufacturing all our products destined for the US and Canada markets right here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
WHAT IS HONEYCOMB PAPER CARDBOARD?
It’s a lightweight board with a paper honeycomb core sandwiched between two outer papers, the heaviest grades can feel and perform like a plank of wood. At the same time, it is super easy to recycle, you can put it in the dumpster as you would dispose of any wastepaper and cardboard.

In the early days, a UK incubator organization, Innovation Gateway, helped kickstart our growth when they invited us to showcase our sustainable products to British based global logistics providers and retail giants. But for designing, prototyping, testing and launching new products to be sustainable, we knew we had to do more.
We have a dedicated new product development team and an innovation center in our head office.
From time to time we work with external design consultants to help us with processes and launch plans. We collaborate with focus groups and category buyers to help us stay on top of customer behaviours and trends.
PIX™ Warehouse Storage Bin Units Launched
It all started in 2019 with an idea.
Frustrated by the limitations of warehousing storage and distribution, one of our major third- party logistics (3PL) clients asked our Innovation Director, David Rose and our Operations Manager, Richard Darlow for help. They developed an initial idea into a novel, flexible and bespoke storage bin system using our super-strong honeycomb cardboard paper.
PALLITE™ PIX™ was born!
Providing increased efficiency and accuracy for warehouse picking combined with better optimization of storage space this innovative new storage solution gained instant traction with many of the big apparel retailers. Even before launch in March 2019 PIX™ won the prestigious Technical Innovation Award at the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA)’s annual awards, further boosting sales and awareness. The UKWA is Britain’s leading trade organisation for the logistics sector who help their over 800 members operate safely, ethically and profitably whilst ensuring their views are represented clearly and effectively to government.
But we didn’t stop there. Realising that whilst our heavy-duty PIX™ range was great for some customers there was a need for a lighter weight version of PIX™.
PIX™ SLOTS Lighter Weight Version of PIX™ Launched in April 2021
A lower cost unit designed for lighter weight products typically apparel and fashion e-commerce.
Export of our innovative and eco-friendly storage bin family of products, PIX™ is growing exponentially with a global customer base developing month on month.
PIX™ SLOTS Angled Launches October 2021
One of the biggest challenges with the growth of ecommerce is poor pick accuracy and inefficiencies in a warehouse and this isn’t helped when small, lightweight SKUs slip from the front of pick bins. We were often faced with customers asking us to add lips or retainers to pick faces to prevent products falling from storage bins.
PIX™ SLOTS Angled was designed by our inhouse team to help resolve this problem. A simple, effective and incredibly efficient warehouse storage bin solution with rearward sloping pick bins eliminating time wasted replacing or resorting fallen stock.
US Manufacturing Setup 2022
To better serve our US and Canadian customers we recognised the need to manufacture stateside. End of 2021, with orders already secured in the US, our Milwaukee manufacturing facility hit the ground running producing 1000s of PIX™ units from the same strong honeycomb paper cardboard synonymous with our UK operation.
As part of establishing ourselves in the US we became members of the Materials Handling Institute (MHI) and ThomasNET. MHI is a material handling, logistics and supply chain association, dedicated to providing its 800+ American members with the latest knowledge, strongest connections, powerful industry leadership, and the best market access.
